How Beyonds uses words

Twenty terms that carry the method — each in one or two sentences, the way we mean them.

Most of these words have a looser meaning elsewhere. On this site they mean exactly this.

01

AI-native product

A product whose core result is produced by AI, not a conventional product with an AI feature attached. The AI is the mechanism that makes the result possible — faster, cheaper or more consistent than before.

02

Non-technical founder

A founder who builds an AI-native product without writing the code themselves: a domain expert, a corporate professional on exit, or a serial entrepreneur. Beyonds is built for this founder.

03

Dual validation

Validating an AI product on two axes at once: whether the market pulls for the result, and whether the AI can produce that result reliably. One without the other is not product-market fit.

04

Strong PMF

Product-market fit confirmed by qualification on facts: repeat purchases, retention, a customer who gives up something scarce. Beyonds distinguishes four states — idea, signal, early PMF, strong PMF.

05

Signal

Any customer reaction: a good interview, a signup, a stated intention to pay. Real, but it proves only the question it was asked — not the decision you want to make.

06

Pull

Movement, not reaction. The customer gives up something scarce — data, a stakeholder, a procurement process, money — and the commitment holds when it costs them.

07

Stated vs fulfilled commitment

Stated: what the customer says they will do. Fulfilled: what they do when it costs them something. Only the second shows the willingness survived cost.

08

Decision sufficiency

Whether you have enough evidence for the specific decision you are about to make. Depends on how big the decision is and how hard it is to undo — not on a fixed number of interviews.

09

Market Pull

Demonstrated pull from a defined customer in a defined situation — the condition Beyonds requires before a full build. Weeks 1–3 of the Incubator, and a standalone route.

10

Feature Trap

Treating a feature as the answer before you know which problem it is supposed to solve. The product gets more complete; the thing you were trying to change does not move.

11

Feature request as evidence

A customer request is evidence that something real happened — not a specification. The same sentence can sit on top of several different underlying problems.

12

Real Moat

What builds up inside a product as real customers use it and a competitor cannot get by copying the visible product. Useful is not the same as defensible; data is not a moat.

13

Six layers of a moat

Context, judgment, learning, workflow position, standards and trust, market position. Layers that reinforce each other; one layer alone is rarely a moat.

14

Premature marketing

Increasing acquisition before the system underneath — customer decision, delivery, economics — has been tested at volume. Traffic multiplies whatever is already there.

15

Marketing as learning vs marketing as growth

Learning: exposure used to answer a specific question with a bounded budget and a result that can tell you to stop. Growth: exposure increased because the system already converts and delivers.

16

Collapse risk

What has accumulated unresolved in a project — the unproven customer, the untested price, the result that depends on the founder — and could give way from any direction: a competitor, a model update, your own next move.

17

Collapse Risk Map

The output of Collapse Risk Check: six risks (product necessity, customer–result connection, market evidence, founder dependency, system under load, growth pressure), each marked as holding, accumulated, open, uncertain or not tested yet.

18

Strategic Reframe Session

A free 60-minute one-to-one working session with a Beyonds mentor over a founder’s audit: which customer, which result, what the next test is.

19

Beyonds Incubator

A four-month path (13 weeks of missions) from idea or expertise to strong PMF of an AI-native product, through dual validation. For founders — with or without a technical team. Monthly cohorts.

20

Genius OS

A personal AI operating system: it understands how your talent produces its strongest results and turns that into the way you set goals, decide and work. Built by Beyonds in the open, as part of Build in Public.

Each term is developed in a Deep Guide or a tool. Deep Guides teach how to think with them; Opportunity Lab shows what they say about your project.
